Catching the Sunset

Is an acrylic abstract painted on a 11 x 14 x 2 gallery wrapped canvas, done in knife. This was created for the sheer joy of giving to Adele.

Walking in the Rain

Is a painting that began in the fall 2012 art class. The cubism style is so fun, my painting is still a work in progress, it's on a 16 x 20 canvas in acrylics.

Relaxing on the Tobique

Painted this acrylic while at my sister's home on the Tobique River in September 2012. It's on a 11 x 14 x 2 gallery wrapped canvas.

Coneflowers

The inspiration for these coneflowers were the black eyed Susans in my garden, what can say, I guess creativity comes from many sources. It's on a 16 x 20 canvas, done in oils and still drying.

A touch of Monet

This little 8 x 10 acrylic was done in spring 2012 art class.

I missed a few of the spring 2012 art classes due to a broken leg. Fellow painter/friends Martina and Rose continued art classes with me on the patio for several weeks into the summer. We would try to begin and finish a painting each night. Inspiration for this painting was a photo from Martina's co-worker, who had recently taken a trip to Normandy. The poppies are done in acrylics on a 8 x 10 canvas.

Cardinal in the woods

This is another painting the trio did over the summer, it's an acrylic on a 8 x 10 canvas.

Fish bowl

The painting trio had lots of fun with the fish bowl, it is painted on a 8 x 10 in acrylics. There was plenty of discussion on the size of the fish and if it could move around in there......wait, maybe that was the wine talking.

Summer peonie 2012

Another night the painting trio tackled peonies, we always got a kick of how we could work from one picture and all the finished paintings looked different.

Bouquets of flowers

As you can imagine, I had quite a bit of time on my hands when home with a broken leg and not very mobile. These three little acrylic 8 x 10's were inspired by various bouquets of flowers I received. The lily was also an inspiration for a painting Martina, Rose and I painted together, lilies were from both Rose and my garden, it was a great evening, even teacher Diane joined us.
