Peeking through

These daisies on an abstract background were an exercise in art class, done with knife, acrylic paint on a 12 x 16 inch gallery wrapped canvass.

Passion

Passion is an acrylic on a 12 x 12 canvas, done with knife. I have Passion and City on Fire also hanging in my office.

In the Water

In the Water is an acrylic on a 16 x 20 canvas, done with a knife. I've hung it in my office between the two windows that overlook the harbour.

City on Fire

. In the late fall I attended an abstract workshop and realized that I have missed abstracts. I painted a few in my earlier days that are posted on this blog a year or two ago. City on Fire is the creation from the workshop, it's an acrylic painting on a 12 x 16 canvas, using a cardboard scrapper.

Catching the Sunset

Is an acrylic abstract painted on a 11 x 14 x 2 gallery wrapped canvas, done in knife. This was created for the sheer joy of giving to Adele.

Walking in the Rain

Is a painting that began in the fall 2012 art class. The cubism style is so fun, my painting is still a work in progress, it's on a 16 x 20 canvas in acrylics.

Painted this acrylic while at my sister's home on the Tobique River in September 2012. It's on a 11 x 14 x 2 gallery wrapped canvas.

Coneflowers

The inspiration for these coneflowers were the black eyed Susans in my garden, what can say, I guess creativity comes from many sources. It's on a 16 x 20 canvas, done in oils and still drying.

This little 8 x 10 acrylic was done in spring 2012 art class.

Poppies in Normandy

I missed a few of the spring 2012 art classes due to a broken leg. Fellow painter/friends Martina and Rose continued art classes with me on the patio for several weeks into the summer. We would try to begin and finish a painting each night. Inspiration for this painting was a photo from Martina's co-worker, who had recently taken a trip to Normandy. The poppies are done in acrylics on a 8 x 10 canvas.
