One day in August 2011 students from two art classes spent a marvelous day painting on Caton's Island in the St.John River. We all settled on a beach with easels, paints and lunches and then painted for hours. This was my first "en plein air" painting experience, I did two paintings each on a 7 x 9 hard flat canvass.
